I'm Begum.

The beauty of a career in data analysis is that it can start from a simple love for math, evolve into a passion for data, and lead to a fulfilling and dynamic professional journey. That has been my story: it started in my early high school years and has taken me through various companies, roles and tools.

My first encounter with data analysis came through the statistics courses of my Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering and my Master's degree. Statistical tools opened up a whole new world and led me to an Analyst role in the Sales and Marketing department of Ipragaz, working with data types and tools like SAP CRM.

With each new opportunity I went deeper. At Alarko I worked with relational databases like PostgreSQL to automate ETL steps and ensure clean, reliable data. In 2020, amid the pandemic, I moved to another country with my husband and took on a job with larger data sets and complex models, built in Power BI and MSSQL.

As a Data Analysis Consultant I worked across the Salesforce ecosystem, from CRM and Data Cloud to Datorama, Tableau and Marketing Cloud, for companies in different industries and with stakeholders at every level. Today I do market research and data analytics at Mews.

What I love most about data is the endless opportunity to learn. There are always new tools to discover, new information to store and new analyses to make. That is what keeps me excited and data-driven.
